Youth Instructors

  • Down To Earth Nature School is looking to hire four youth instructors to join us for the 2024-2025 Weekly Program!

A little bit about the company... Our bottom line is connecting children to nature. We do that through teaching exciting hands-on lessons that they won't learn in school like knife carving, primitive fire making, natural navigation, edible and medicinal plants, animal tracking, and tons more! Children's passions tend to lead our lesson plans and their enjoyment is a top priority in everything that we do. Nature Education, Adventure, Science, and Stewardship are our four main pillars that guide every activity we plan.

  • You might be a good fit if you have...

Passion for the outdoors!! If you absolutely love nature and want to share that love with young students (age 5-13), then we would love to hear from you.

1-2 years experience working with children in an outdoor setting

First Aid/ CPR Certification (Preference will be given to WFA or WFR candidates)

Plenty of personal experience in the outdoors! Maybe you're an avid hiker, kayaker, biker, climber, backpacker, or some combination of all the above... all of this is relevant experience that we would love for you to bring to our program!

  • Pay starts at $21/hr

    ~ 30 hours/week

  • Our Weekly Program will take place Wednesday-Friday from 9:00am - 3:00pm. The Fall semester dates are August 22nd to November 22nd. We will take a winter break and resume our program in the Spring from February 20th-May 23rd.

Our program will take place in Crestwood Park.

Address: 1673 E, Siesta Dr, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84093
